Truck Driver cited after crashing into Fort Valley AutoZone

FORT VALLEY, GA – A semi-truck driver was cited for failing to maintain a lane after crashing into an AutoZone building Monday, WGXA reports.

Preliminary details show that the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 49 from Vineville Street, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and slam into the building. Despite the nature of the crash, the driver, store employees, and customers were unharmed.

Fort Valley Police were the first eyewitnesses to this truck collision when they were responding to an unrelated emergency call. These officers and the Georgia State Patrol both responded to the scene.
