PUTNEY, GA – A 20-year-old woman driving a red 2025 Toyota Corolla died after colliding with a trash truck Wednesday, according to WALB.
The deadly collision happened after 9 a.m. at the intersection of Liberty Expressway S.E. and Nelms Road. Dougherty County Police Department said the car driver had tried to cross onto Liberty Expressway from Nelms Road but did not yield, causing her to crash into the trash truck.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as Alicia Cunningham.
Police said the truck driver will not have to face any charges.
