Person dead after 18-wheeler crash on I-16 in Macon 

MACON, GA – A person died from their injuries after an 18-wheeler crash that happened on I-16 Wednesday, according to WGXA TV.

Preliminary details show that the driver of the 18-wheeler had drifted out of their lane and crashed into two construction barriers. The force of the collision led the driver to succumb to their injuries a short time later. The driver was either pinned or entrapped, requiring an extrication from fire crews.

The driver has since been identified as Donnye Culbreath.

No other motorists were involved in the collision.
