DECATUR, GA – Authorities shut down I-20 East along Wesley Chapel Road on Tuesday due to a serious semi-truck collision and road construction.
According to 11Alive, crews closed the majority of these lanes just before noon. A short time later, they reopened one lane to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation. After those closures, traffic delays could be seen toward I-285. During this time, commuters were advised to seek alternative routes.
It’s unclear what led to the crash. However, based on photos alone, the white cab sustained significant damage, with the bumper out of place. In addition, officials did not say if anyone was injured.
