Man Hospitalized After Being Trapped Beneath Semi Trailer in Georgia

THOMASTON, GA – A man was hospitalized after colliding with a semi truck and becoming trapped beneath its trailer on State Route 36 Tuesday morning, WGXA News reports.

According to police, the collision occurred near the intersection of State Route 36 and Willis Road. The semi truck driver was attempting to back onto the road when a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction crashed into the truck’s trailer.

The pickup driver was trapped. After he was extricated, he was sent to Atrium Navicent Medical Center in Macon with unknown injuries.

The truck driver was charged with driving on the wrong side of the roadway and improper backing.
