MARIETTA, GA – Major traffic delays were reported on I-75 after a dump truck collided with an overhead sign on Wednesday afternoon, Fox 5 reports.
First responders say the truck driver was traveling on the southbound side of the interstate but struck a pole that was supporting the sign hanging over the northbound side near Canton Road.
It is unclear at this time if the driver suffered injuries in the crash. However, northbound traffic in the area was halted in the area for nearly three hours while crews worked to clear the scene and repair the sign.
All lanes were reopened by 8 p.m.
