Car, truck drivers hospitalized after 3-auto crash near Hartwell 

NEAR HARTWELL, GA – A 38-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord and a 25-year-old man operating a concrete truck were hospitalized after a three-vehicle wreck Tuesday.

The events unfolded before 3:45 p.m. near Sundown Circle when the Honda Accord driver first hit a 28-year-old woman driving a Chevy Camaro turning to turn left on a private driveway, according to Now Habersham. After the two cars collided, the concrete truck driver then crashed into the Accord, and the truck overturned as a result.

Georgia State Patrol confirmed the Chevy Camaro driver, Ashlynn Putnam, a Hartwell local, escaped injuries. The concrete truck driver, Demitruis Oglesby, also a Hartwell resident, was transported via an ambulance to AnMed Medical Center in Anderson. There, he is recovering from minor wounds.

Medical helicopter personnel flew the 38-year-old woman, Jacqueline Wallace, also a Hartwell resident, to  Prisma Healthcare in Greenville for treatment of serious wounds.

GSP’s Post 52 in Hartwell launched an investigation and has not released additional information.
