COBB COUNTY, GA — A tractor-trailer overturned and then was hit by a passenger car Tuesday morning on the East-West Connector near Smyrna, reports Atlanta News First.
The pair of collision unfolded near South Hurt Road and was first reported some time before 7:37 a.m.
Officials have not specified what caused the semi to roll in the first place, and the conditions of those involved remain undisclosed.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area as crews tended to the scene. All travel lanes were shut down for an extended time during the morning commute.
