ELDORADO, GA – During rainy weather on Thursday, a big rig driver lost control of their truck, leading it to jackknife and hit a fire truck on I-75.
Georgia State Patrol told WALB that this collision happened at milepost 55. The fire truck, which had activated emergency lights, was initially responding to a truck that hydroplaned on the interstate.
Officials said that after the tractor-trailer jackknifed, it blocked two lanes temporarily. Sometime later, crews were able to remove the 18-wheeler from the site.
At this time, it’s unclear if anyone was injured.
