DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Crews responded to an Amazon big rig fire late Thursday afternoon on Interstate 285 near Decatur, according to Atlanta News First.
The incident was reported at around 4:00 p.m., on the northbound highway at Exit 41 to Memorial Drive (Georgia State Highway 10).
Very few details have been made available, but the Georgia Department of Transportation indicate that the truck had come to a rest on the side of the northbound roadway. At least two lanes were blocked for a few hours during the emergency response.
While no injuries were immediately reported, footage captured at the scene indicates significant fire damage to the truck’s cab.
