BELLEVIEW, FL – When a semi-truck, SUV, and Jeep all collided, the SUV driver became trapped and had to be extricated before being taken to a hospital Monday.
This three-vehicle collision took place on U.S. Highway 441 South and also resulted in a small diesel fuel leak, according to WCJB. Belleview Police and Marion County Fire Rescue crews arrived at the crash site after 8 p.m., and the leak was cleaned up.
The semi-truck and Jeep driver appeared to have been unharmed and were able to get out of their own vehicles, while first responders issued the SUV motorist a trauma alert after extricating her.
The woman’s condition is unknown, although it appears she is still at the hospital recovering.
Police launched an investigation and have not provided additional details at this time.
