MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A woman lost her life Monday morning due to a rear-end collision involving a cement truck in Doral, according to NBC Miami.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike at Northwest 74th Street (mile marker 31). First responders were called to the area shortly after 4:00 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol officials said the woman was operating a Hyundai sedan northbound when the car crashed into the back of the cement truck.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
As many as three travel lanes were blocked during the emergency response and investigation.
No information about the truck driver has been made available at this time.
