MOORE HAVEN, FL – A semi-truck driver was responsible for causing a chain-reaction wreck that claimed the life of a 53-year-old woman Saturday, Fox4Now said.
The crash took place before 5 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 80 and Palomino Drive. The truck driver first rear-ended a sedan driven by the 53-year-old woman. The woman’s car was pushed into a stopped car in front of her, and she was ejected as a result.
The 53-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was left with minor injuries, and the other motorist was unharmed.
Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not released other details at this time.
