Train, trash truck collision in Ruskin claims one life 

RUSKIN, FL – A trash truck motorist passed away when they collided with several cargo trains along the Old Highway 41 railroad tracks Tuesday.

The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue team told ABC Action News that this serious wreck happened before 12:30 p.m., and the fire was extinguished within half an hour.

Fire crews confirmed that at the time of the collision, the trash truck carried sand and the CSX train gravel.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity at this time.
