JACKSONVILLE, FL – A driver of a transit van decreased their speed on I-95, leading to a rear-end collision that caused a semi-truck to overturn Thursday.
This crash happened at mile marker 331, when the van motorsit “decreased (their) speed in the center lane,” according to First Coast News.
Florida Highway Patrol mentioned in a crash report that the van driver was traveling in the middle lane when it hit the back of the “red transit van.”
Prior to the truck overturning, its driver — a 40-year-old man from Jacksonville — drifted to the left and then hit a guardrail in the center median before rotating clockwise and then overturning on the northbound lanes “facing eastbound,” and the van stopping in the middle of the northbound lane.
Despite the nature of this crash, the semi-truck was unharmed.
No additional information, including the current condition of the semi-truck driver, was stated.
