BONITA SPRINGS, FL – A driver of a semi-truck was left unharmed despite a semi-truck overturning on Old Highway 41 amid heavy rain on Tuesday.
NBC-2 said this collision happened near Bonita Beach Road when the driver lost control of the truck while going to a recycling center. As a result, the truck overturned, and 40 to 50 cardboard bales flew off the truck.
Crews and first responders shut down the area for at least three hours so crews could remove the cardboard bales from the site and so officials could stabilize the truck.
Local first responders did not confirm if rainy weather was a contributing factor to this collision, nor did they reveal other details at this time.
