LAKE WORTH, FL – Two boys riding bicycles had crashed into each other, causing the bikes to overturn and the boys to get hit by a semi-truck, killing one of them and injuring the other.
This collision occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday near Woodlands Middle School, NBC Miami reports.
Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that one of the boys, 12, had perished at the scene. EMS crews took the other boy, 13, to a hospital for treatment of serious wounds. The boys were identified as 8th-grade students at Woodlands.
It appears the truck driver will face no charges.
