PENSACOLA, FL – A trash truck driver faces several citations after running a red light and causing a two-truck crash with injuries Thursday.
According to WKRG, the trash truck driver ran a red light around 9:30 a.m. while driving on Nine Mile Road. After running the red light, the trash truck driver immediately collided with a semi-truck. The force of the collision caused the semi to overturn and spill several pounds of dirt onto the road.
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that both truck drivers sustained minor injuries. Troopers cited the trash truck driver for running a red light and for “driving with a suspended license and operating a commercial motor vehicle without a commercial driver’s license.”
