HIALEAH GARDENS, FL – A man operating a pickup truck lost his life after he collided with a semi-truck on U.S. 27 south of NW 138th Street Sunday.
This collision happened around 2:45 a.m., according to NBC Miami. Florida Highway Patrol said the events unfolded when the driver of the blue Chevy pickup truck went north on U.S. 27 and collided with the stationary big rig.
FHP declared the male driver dead at the scene and said they closed two lanes for four hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
