OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL – A truck driver was killed, and another was seriously injured, in a three-vehicle crash on the Florida Turnpike early last Friday morning, WFTV reports.
According to authorities, the collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near mile marker 248 around 3:20 am. A semi-truck driver failed to brake for slowing traffic and plowed into another semi-truck, which then collided with a third truck.
The first semi-truck caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the second truck was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The third driver was unharmed.
