Multi-vehicle crash involving Coca-Cola in Winter Haven truck leaves 2 dead, 1 injured

WINTER HAVEN, FL – Two teens were killed and a man was hospitalized after a vehicle slammed into a semi-truck hauling Coca-Cola on Recker Highway Thursday afternoon.

According to WFLA, a Buick Lacrosse skidded out of control after hitting a puddle in the southbound lanes of the highway near Commercial Boulevard shortly before 2:30 p.m. and struck the 53-foot truck. The impact sent both vehicles into a nearby utility pole.

Both occupants of the Buick, 19-year-old Cameron Williams of Auburndale, and 18-year-old Neil Bryant II of Winter Haven, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

The truck’s driver, a 61-year-old Riverview man, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
