Minor injuries reported in St. Lucie Co. 18-wheeler collision 

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL – An 18-wheeler driver suffered minor injuries following a collision on Florida’s Turnpike north of mile marker 170 Tuesday. 

For reasons unclear, the truck jackknifed and then plowed into a median guardrail, according to WPBF. The driver declined transportation to a hospital. 

The truck was left with significant damage. Officials did not specify if they enacted any lane closures or said how long the scene clearance process took. 

No other vehicles were reported.
