Man, 65, killed in rear-end semi collision in Palmdale

PALMDALE, FL – A 65-year-old man driving a semi-truck passed away after he rear-ended another semi-truck on U.S. 27 on Sunday, WINK News said.

Prior to the rear-end collision, the driver of the second semi-truck, a 51-year-old man from Miami, had reduced his speed for slow traffic. After getting hit, he managed to escape any injuries, Florida Highway Patrol revealed.

FHP pronounced the 65-year-old man, an Immokalee resident, dead at the scene. They started an investigation and have not revealed other details at this time.
