OCALA, FL – Florida Department of Transportation crews had to shut down the majority of I-75 South on Monday due to a multi-vehicle wreck caused by a big rig driver.
WCJB said the semi-truck operator was initially traveling in the northbound lanes when he lost control of his truck. He went into the median and into the southbound lanes and struck other other tractor-trailers, an RV, and three cars.
Closures only lasted two hours.
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed no one was seriously injured or lost their life. The contributing factors are unclear.
