CAPE CORAL, FL – A 15-year-old girl riding a bicycle along Santa Barbara Boulevard and Mid Cape Terrace died when she collided with a USPS box truck Wednesday.
WINK News said the teenager, a Marnier High School student, was on her way home from her summer job at SunSplash when the collision occurred.
Cape Coral Police are working to identify the exact cause of this collision and did not say who was at fault or if the box truck driver can anticipate criminal charges filed against them.
Reader’s Note: While the girl’s name was mentioned by Cape Coral Police and the initial source, our news team has adopted a no-name policy with respect to minors involved in automobile collisions, pedestrian accidents, and other personal injury-related incidents.
