WALTON COUNTY, FL – A man is in critical condition after his vehicle became trapped beneath a semi-truck on Interstate 10 late Tuesday afternoon, WMBB reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 4:30 pm. The semi-truck was headed east on I-10 when it began slowing for traffic ahead. The driver behind them did not slow down, resulting in part of their vehicle becoming trapped beneath the semi’s trailer.
The driver of the other vehicle, a man from Bonifay, was trapped in the wreck for around two hours. He was extricated and hospitalized with serious injuries.
