ST. JOHN’S COUNTY, FL – A semi truck overturned and erupted in flames, sending the driver to the hospital and backing up traffic on I-95 for several hours on Sunday afternoon, First Coast News reports.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of I-95 just north of State Road 206 around 3:30 pm. It involved a semi truck and a blue sedan.
The semi truck spilled its haul of cabbages across the highway and began leaking fuel. A hazmat team was called in.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The condition of the other driver is currently unknown.
