FHP, Martin Co. deputies called to tractor-trailer crash in Stuart

STUART, FL – Florida Highway Patrol and Martin County deputies were summoned to the scene of a tractor-trailer crash that happened on Florida’s Turnpike Friday.

According to CBS 12, it appears the driver of the big rig crashed into a bridge on the northbound lanes, causing it to be stuck. Troopers shut down the northbound lanes, resulting in some significant traffic delays.

During the closures, authorities told drivers to reduce their speed or merge into a different lane as crews worked to clear the scene.
