Extrication reported in semi-rollover wreck in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Fire Rescue crews had to perform extrication on a semi-truck driver after their truck overturned upon colliding with other vehicles Friday.

This collision happened around 2:30 p.m. on I-10 East, WCTV reported. Florida Highway Patrol said the impact of this rollover collision caused the rice on board the truck to completely spill on a grassy area beside the road.

Troopers started an investigation. While most details remain unclear, FHP is trying to determine if Friday’s heavy rains played a part in this wreck.

Upon arrival, crews closed an outside lane near mile marker 201 and redirected drivers to an inside lane on the highway.

At the time of the reporting, the driver was still entrapped, and crews were pursuing their best efforts to free the person.

Additional details, including whether the motorist was injured, remains unclear.
