3-vehicle crash involving semi-truck on I-4 in Orlando leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

ORLANDO, FL – A three-vehicle crash in southwest Orlando Wednesday morning claimed the life of one woman and left another person injured, according to Fox 35.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of I-4 near the exit to World Drive at about 1 a.m.

Troopers say a semi-truck and a Kia Forte stopped for a construction zone in the westbound lanes of the interstate when a pickup truck slammed into the rear of the Kia, forcing it into the truck.

The driver of the Kia, an unidentified 28-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The pickup’s driver, a 33-year-old man, was hospitalized in serious condition.

The 61-year-old truck driver was unhurt.
