MIAMI, FL – A driver of a dump truck experienced a medical episode, leading him to lose control of his truck and hit a tree, sending himself and his passenger to the hospital Friday.
This collision occurred after 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Southwest 104th Street and Hammocks Boulevard, WSVN said. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews said the man collided head-on with the tree, and a photo indicated that the tree fell onto the truck.
Despite the nature of this crash, the truck appeared to have not been significantly damaged.
An ambulance took the driver and passenger (also a man) to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital for treatment of traumatic wounds after fire crews extricated them both from the vehicle.
First responders did not provide an update on the physical conditions of the two people or listed other details concerning Friday’s crash.
