2 hospitalized in multi-auto wreck with trash truck in Christmas

CHRISTMAS, FL – A driver of a trash truck rear-ended a Honda Accord and then struck a BMW X5 and a Dodge Durango, sending two to a hospital Wednesday.

Florida Highway Patrol told WESH that this collision occurred in the afternoon at the East Colonial Drive and St. Nicholas Avenue intersection. The impact of this crash led the Honda to overturn, which in turn resulted in the Honda driver sustaining non-life-threatening injuries that required hospitalization.

The BMW driver was also hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, while the trash truck driver and Dodge motorist were unscathed.

Troopers added that the BMW car also “spun out” and also rolled over. They started an investigation and have not released other information.
