2 adults hurt, child killed in collision with propane truck in Pace

PACE, FL – A four-vehicle crash at Quintette Road and Tunnel Road seriously injured a propane delivery truck and SUV driver and led to a 12-year-old girl’s death Wednesday.

This collision took place after 10:30 a.m. and was between two SUVs, a propane delivery truck, and a log truck driver, according to WEAR News. Florida Highway Patrol, who responded to the scene, identified the propane delivery truck driver as a 47-year-old woman from Bay Minette and the injured SUV driver as a 50-year-old woman from Nauvoo, Alabama. The 12-year-old girl is also from Nauvoo.

Despite the nature of this wreck, no propane trucks were damaged, and the other occupants — the other SUV driver and log truck motorist — were spared from injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol launched an investigation but has not commented on the specific circumstances that led to this crash, said who was at fault, or said if anyone would face criminal charges.

Crews closed the area for several hours and reopened around 3:30 p.m.
