1 killed in double semi rollover crash in Yeehaw Junction

YEEHAW JUNCTION, FL – Two semi-trailers overturned off U.S. 441 South near State Road 60, claiming one of the driver’s lives Saturday, WESH reported.

This collision happened before 7:30 a.m. Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene and said the driver of a 2015 semitrailer drifted off a northbound lane and into a southbound lane. The second semi-truck tried to avoid getting struck by swerving off the lane, which led both of the trucks to leave the road prior to rolling over in a wooded area.

The driver of the 2015 truck, a 59-year-old man from Orlando, succumbed to fatal wounds, while the second driver, a 28-year-old man, also an Orlando resident, was not hospitalized.
