TALLAHASSEE, FL – A cement truck driver was sent to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and a van motorist died at the scene after their vehicles collided Tuesday.
WCTV said this crash happened around 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Woodville Highway and Belair Road. The impact of this wreck caused the cement truck to overturn on its side. Nonetheless, the cement truck, a 70-year-old man is making a recovery and appears to be in stable condition.
Florida Highway Patrol identified the van driver as a 46-year-old man.
Due to the severity of this crash, FHP, along with crews, had to shut down northbound and southbound Woodville Highway, Gaile Avenue North, and Capital Circle South to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process. All closures were in effect by 4:25 p.m.
