1 dead, another hurt in SUV vs. semi-truck crash in Bartow 

BARTOW, FL – An SUV driver lost her life, and a semi-truck driver was injured in a head-on crash on Highway 640 Tuesday, according to Fox13News.

The driver of the GMC Terrain SUV was driving dangerously in the highway’s no-pass zone while passing other vehicles. She sped through a red signal and tried to pass another vehicle. Moments later, she slammed into the semi-truck head-on.

The SUV driver died at the scene, and first responders transported the truck driver to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The deceased driver was identified as a 36-year-old woman from Meade, Florida.
