ALTA, CA – The California Highway Patrol was on the scene of a two-semi crash that snarled traffic on I-80 near Alta on Friday, the San Francisco Gate reports.
CHP says that an oil tanker crashed, spilling its contents onto the roadway. An Amazon Prime truck subsequently drove through the spill, causing it to lose traction and crash.
The two-vehicle collision shut down traffic in both directions for some time. It is unclear when the lanes reopened.
Fortunately, CHP reports only minor injuries as the result of the crash.
