PHELAN, CA – A collision involving two semi-trucks and at least two passenger vehicles injured multiple people Monday morning in San Bernardino County.
According to KTLA 5, the accident happened shortly before 6 a.m. on CA-138, or the Rim of the World Scenic Byway, just west of I-15 in the city of Phelan, around 31 miles northwest of San Bernardino.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the crash, which caused significant damage to both 18-wheelers and totaled a black sedan.
Medics transported an unknown number of victims to area hospitals with unspecified injuries, and officials closed several lanes of the CA-138 while crews attended to the victims, gathered evidence, and worked to clear the scene.
