One Killed, Two Injured in California Semi-Truck Collision

LINDSAY, CA – A person was killed, and two others were injured in a collision involving a semi-truck carrying corrosive materials at a Highway 137 intersection on Monday night, KSEE/KPGE reports.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 137 and Road 196 around 8:30 pm. A white sedan driving southbound on Road 196 and a semi driving eastbound on Highway 137 entered the intersection at the same time and collided.

The semi-truck crashed into a tree and overturned, causing it to spill the corrosive material.

The truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. A juvenile in the sedan was also transported to the hospital. Another occupant of the sedan was killed.
