FRESNO COUNTY, CA – A man died Sunday morning when his pickup truck collided with a semi on Clovis Avenue, abc30 reports.
According to authorities, the collision occurred on Clovis Avenue near Highway 99 around 7:30 am. The pickup driver attempted to turn near Golden State Boulevard and head south when it slammed into the northbound semi.
The pickup became stuck beneath the semi’s trailer, and a fire broke out. The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene.
Low visibility due to dense fog is believed to have been a factor in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.
