LOS ANGELES, CA – One person died when a Prius slammed into the back of a semi-truck on the 210 in Sunland early yesterday morning. Two westbound lanes were closed for about two hours as a result.
KTLA reports that the collision happened at about 2:15 a.m. on November 12, just east of the Sunland Boulevard overpass.
Photos from the scene show emergency responders gathered around the wreckage of a silver Prius that had become wedged beneath a trailer.
Police confirmed one fatality as a result of the crash but have not specified whether it was the driver of the Prius or provided a name.
The two westbound lanes that had been closed for the investigation reopened at about 4:30 a.m.
