JOINER, AR – A woman was killed when the SUV she was driving collided with the rear of a semi-truck on I-55 near Joiner on Sunday afternoon.
KAIT 8 reports that the fatal incident occurred shortly before 3:50 p.m. on July 6 at mile marker 28. Blytheville resident Doreen Gray was traveling north when her 2016 Honda CR-V rammed into a 2019 Volvo semi-truck that had stopped for traffic.
Gray died in the crash. The truck’s unidentified driver does not appear to have been injured.
The investigating officer said that the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident. Few other details are known at this time.
