JONESBORO, AK – A pickup truck driver was suspected of being blinded by the sun’s glare while operating their vehicle, leading to a crash with a trash truck on Tuesday.
Arkansas State Police told Kait8 that the two-vehicle crash happened before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 168 West and County Road 324. It was there that the pickup truck driver collided with the trash truck while making a turn.
The impact of the collision injured one of the involved occupants. EMS crews transported them to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Authorities shut down the area and reopened all lanes around 10 a.m.
