Heavy winds lead to tractor-trailer wreck with injuries near Round Pound

NEAR ROUND POUND, AR – Heavy winds were to blame for two separate Monday morning tractor-trailer rollover wrecks on I-40 that sent a FedEx driver to a hospital and injured another.

The FedEx driver is recovering at  Forrest City Medical, and their rollover crash happened on the westbound lanes, Fox13Memphis said.

The other collision took place before 6 a.m. on the eastbound lanes near Mile Marker 250 and left this driver with a “gash on his head.”

The St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office (SFCSO) was the primary emergency responders, and the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) was also called to the crash site to help clean up debris.

No lane closures were reported, and the contributing factors behind both collisions have not been reported.
