LEE COUNTY, AL — A power outage was reported Friday morning following a crash involving an 18-wheeler on Interstate 85 in Auburn, according to News3.
The incident occurred in the yard of a residence along Southview Drive at around 6:00 a.m.
While the cause of the accident has not been disclosed, the big rig veered off the interstate and came to rest in the yard.
First responders had the truck driver transported to East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) with unspecified injuries.
No significant damage to the home was reported, but the force of the crash downed multiple power poles in the area that resulted in an outage.
An investigation remains in progress.
