JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A collision between a passenger pickup truck and a semi-trailer Wednesday afternoon near southwest Warrior has claimed the life of a teenage girl, reports WBRC.
The collision took place at the intersection of Mt. Olive and Warrior-Jasper Road.
A preliminary investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office indicates the teen was a passenger in the pickup. Officials did not immediately specify whether she was pronounced deceased at the scene or at a hospital.
An unspecified number of other patients were transported to area hospitals for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
