LAWERENCE CO., AL – Two people were injured when a pickup truck and a tanker truck hauling fuel collided on Highway 157 near Oakville on Monday morning.
According to WAFF, the crash took place at about 8:10 a.m. on Highway 157 near the intersection with Highway 36.
ALEA says the drivers of both trucks were flown to an area hospital for treatment.
Details concerning the events leading up to the deadly crash are not mentioned in the report. However, the northbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours afterward.
All lanes have since reopened.
