BESSEMER, AL – A 30-year-old man from Macon, Mississippi, lost his life after he was hit by a pickup truck driver while operating an 18-wheeler Friday.
According to WBRC, this collision took place around 2 p.m. on I-59/20 South, along Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said for reasons unclear, the pickup truck motorist ventured out of their lane and into the lane the Mississippi man was in, leading the vehicles to collide. As a result, the Mississippi resident, Jamaiyia Geivoca Foote, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.
