Man, 72, loses life in pickup, semi-truck crash near Linden

NEAR LINDEN, AL – A 72-year-old man driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck passed away when he collided with a 2019 Mack big rig on Alabama 28 last Thursday, Jan. 9.

Details regarding this crash remain scarce. However, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers told the Tuscaloosa Thread that the crash happened when the semi-truck driver collided with the elderly man.

The impact caused the 72-year-old man, later identified as David Freeman, a Demopolis resident, to immediately succumb to fatal wounds.

Troopers have not confirmed if the male semi-truck motorist, who they only identified as a Thomasville, Alabama, resident, would be charged for his involvement.
