HUEYTOWN, AL – A 56-year-old man employed by Classic Towing & Recovery lost his life after he crashed his tow truck into a home Wednesday.
AL said this single-truck collision happened before 3:30 a.m. in the 200th block of Forest Road. Local police did not say what led the tow truck driver, who was hauling a pickup, to leave the road.
Despite the truck colliding with the home, those residents did not sustain wounds, while the tow truck driver succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the tow truck motorist as Franklin Eugene McMillin, a local resident.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office started an investigation and has not released other details at this time.
